Australian football codes are organised locally. In Victoria a junior is zoned to a Talent League club by home address; in South Australia and Western Australia to a SANFL or WAFL club; in Sydney to an NRL club’s junior district; in Queensland to a Queensland Cup club. Seasons and climates differ too — Darwin plays its footy in the wet season.
