Footy training across the Northern Territory
The Territory has produced AFL players out of the NTFL and the CAFL for decades, and it does it in conditions no other state trains in. Choose your region — the season is not the same in both.

The Northern Territory plays footy in two different seasons. Darwin’s Northern Territory Football League runs October to March, through the wet season, while the Central Australian Football League in Alice Springs plays through winter. The NT Academy — formerly NT Thunder Academy — fields under-16 and under-18 teams that play selected Talent League games.
Choose your region
Darwin and Alice Springs play in different halves of the year, so the setup for each is different.
What you start with, by the month you join
Every block is four weeks — three building, one deload — so a free month is one complete block.
Coaching a side in Northern Territory?
A club licence is A$8 per player, per month (minimum 5), and every player on it gets full Train Smart membership at no cost to them. You write the block once, it lands in each player’s app, and the console shows who actually did it.
