Prices in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. The athlete subscription is billed through your App Store or Google Play account; coach plans and the club licence are billed by card.

When does a club licence beat individual memberships?
Almost immediately, which is the point. From five players a club plan costs less than the squad buying their own memberships, and by forty players it is about an eighth of the price.

FAQ
Pricing and billing questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes — one month free for athletes, and 30 days free for clubs. The athlete trial is the store’s introductory offer, which means the store owns its rules: one free month per Apple ID on iPhone, or per Google account on Android, and cancelling mid-trial does not end it early — your access runs to the original expiry date and simply stops renewing.
How do I cancel?
On iPhone, in your Apple ID subscription settings, the same as any App Store subscription. On Android, in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. There is a direct link inside the app on both. Cancelling leaves your data intact.
What does it cost outside Australia?
A$24.99 a month is the Australian price. The App Store and Google Play each set a price for every country in its own currency, so outside Australia you are charged — and the app shows you — your own store’s price, before you confirm anything.
What does a personal coach cost me?
Nothing through Train Smart. Your coach pays for their own plan, and joining them with their code or link gives you full Train Smart membership at no cost while they coach you. What you pay your coach for their coaching is between you and them. (Clients who were already paying a coach weekly through the app before coach plans keep that arrangement as agreed.)
What does Train Smart cost a coach or PT?
One flat monthly price, sized by how many clients train with you that month: Coach 10 A$49 (up to 10 active clients), Coach 20 A$69 (up to 20 active clients), Coach 50 A$139 (up to 50 active clients), Unlimited A$199 (unlimited active clients). An active client is one who records at least one session in the month; clients who do not train that month do not count. First month free, no card needed to start, no add-ons, and watch data on every plan.
Is Train Smart on Android?
Yes. Train Smart is on Google Play for phones and tablets running Android 8.0 or later, at the same price and with the same free month. Recovery data comes from Health Connect rather than Apple Health, and one account and one membership work on both platforms. What is different on Android.
Why is the athlete subscription bought in the app rather than on the web?
Because the stores require it. Apple’s and Google’s rules both mandate in-app purchase for a digital subscription sold through their apps. The club licence is different — that is a business-to-business transaction bought on a laptop, so it goes through normal card payment.
If my club pays, do I still pay?
No. When a club pays for a plan, every player in the squad gets full Train Smart membership at no cost to them — no purchase screen, no card. That is the whole design of the club product.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
It stays. Your training history, logs and profile are not deleted when a subscription lapses, and they are there if you come back. You can also delete your account and all its data at any time from inside the app.
Is there a discount for juniors or students?
Not currently as a separate price. The route that makes Train Smart free for a junior is their club paying for a plan — at A$119.99 a month for up to 60 players it is far cheaper for a club to cover a squad than for twenty families to each buy a subscription.
