Terms of service
Train Smart · Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Train Smart (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
Using the app
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account or use the app. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian knows you are using it and agrees to these terms.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal training purposes and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
Health and safety disclaimer
Train Smart provides general training programs, suggestions and tracking for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice. Consult a qualified health professional before starting any exercise program. You take part in any activity at your own risk, and we are not liable for injury or health outcomes arising from use of the app.
Subscriptions and billing
Membership is a monthly, auto-renewing subscription billed through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, at the price the store shows for your country before you confirm (A$24.99 per month in Australia). A free introductory month is available to eligible accounts; eligibility, renewal and cancellation are governed by the store you subscribed through — Apple offers the introductory month once per Apple ID, Google Play once per Google account. Cancel at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings, or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Club licences are billed separately by card as a flat monthly plan sized by the number of players (from A$119.99 per month). Coach plans are billed by card to the coach, monthly, as a flat price for a tier sized by the number of clients who record a session that month (from A$49 per month); a coach's first month is free, and a change of tier partway through a month is prorated. A client who joins a coach on a coach plan is not charged by Train Smart and receives membership while that coach coaches them. Coaching arrangements made before coach plans existed, in which a client pays their coach a weekly rate through Stripe, continue on the terms agreed: the client is charged only for the weeks they stay paired.
Your content
You keep ownership of the training data and social posts you create. By publishing content to the optional social feed you grant us permission to display it within the app to other users. You are responsible for the content you post and must not upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes others’ rights.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in Train Smart. By using the social feed you agree not to post, send or share content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, deceptive, spam, or that impersonates another person — and not to bully, harass or abuse other athletes.
Every post, comment and message in the app can be reported, and any user can be blocked. Blocking a user removes their posts and comments from your feed immediately, stops them interacting with you, and stops either of you messaging or calling the other. In a group conversation, blocking someone hides what they post there from you, and the coach who runs the group can remove any message or member. Reports and blocks are sent to us for review; a report about a message includes a copy of that message.
We review reported content and act within 24 hours of a report: objectionable content is removed and the accounts responsible are suspended or terminated. Repeat or serious breaches result in a permanent ban.
To report content or a user, use the ⋯ menu on any post or comment, or press and hold a message, in the app — or email jack@trainsmartt.com.
Accounts and termination
You may delete your account at any time using the account deletion option inside the app, or by email — see Delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.
Availability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Train Smart is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
